Neighbors Helping Neighbors Family Assistance Center
Hours: Mon.-Fri., 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Provides food and clothing to residents of South Whittier/Whittier, and surrounding communities. Distribution of food is in grocery bags and each household is entitled to weekly assistance. Whittier Area First Day Coalition
Hours: Mon.-Fri., 8 a.m. to Noon Recovery from Homelessness – Short-term emergency transitional housing with on-site supportive services. Four-phase program. Health and Wellness Clinic Services – 6 months single Adults 18 and over. Serves as a preventive health, urgent/primary care and referral facility for residents. Social Services Referral Center – Provides financial assistance to obtain birth certificates, CA identification, CA driver’s license and other documentation necessary to receive government benefits and employment.
