About HOT

Founded in 1990, the Hispanic Outreach Taskforce (HOT) is a nonprofit 501 c (3) organization that provides access to and information about critically needed services to residents in the Rio Hondo communities of Whittier, Santa Fe Springs, Pico Rivera, Los Nietos and neighboring communities. HOT’s mission is to improve the quality of life for residents in the community through programs that promote education, health, economic development, financial literacy and the cultural arts. These programs are held throughout the year allowing residents to acquire the tools they need to improve the quality of their life.

The nonprofit is guided by a Board of Directors composed of local business professionals and community leaders that represent a variety of respected organizations that serve the South East corner of Los Angeles County.

In addition, the HOT Advisory Council is composed of individuals that represent many of HOT’s corporate sponsors and other business leaders that help to raise money and provide a wealth of talent to support the organization’s activities.

Over the years, members of HOT Board and the Advisory Council, who are all volunteers, have developed a strong working relationship with local government officials, government representatives, business leaders, health care and community organizations. These relationships have helped to establish HOT as one of the community’s leading service organization with a calendar of successful programs and services.
